Mother and Child Health Care Centre (MCHC) began its journey on June 1, 2005, in an old building that was meticulously renovated to its present architecture. This transformation was made possible through the vision and imagination of former architect Sri Rajeev Chadda of Ranchi, with invaluable input and support from Dr. S.K. Arya, who added his insights to perfect the design. The journey of MCHC was symbolically inaugurated by a Muslim patient who lit an incense stick, marking the beginning of our mission to provide dedicated healthcare services to women, children, and newborns. Since its inception, MCHC has been committed to offering comprehensive healthcare services, including immunization and specialized treatments, ensuring a healthier future for the community we serve.
At Mother and Child Health Care Centre (MCHC), we are renowned for our commitment to conducting the maximum number of normal deliveries, ensuring the best possible outcomes for mothers and babies. In cases where a caesarean section is necessary, we are equipped to provide the latest and most cosmetically advanced procedures, available 24/7 in our modern, fully-equipped units staffed by a team of veteran doctors. Our spacious labor room is designed to offer comfort and safety for all our patients. Dr. Santvana Sharan, one of our esteemed founders, has received numerous accolades for her extensive service in women's and adolescent health. She was honored with the prestigious Wonder Fogsian Award at The St. Regis, Mumbai, on November 23, 2019, in a grand ceremony attended by prominent figures such as Diana Hayden, Jacqueline Fernandes, Sonali Kulkarni, Sachin Tendulkar, and Ekta Kapoor. This recognition highlights her national impact and dedication to healthcare, bringing pride to Jharkhand. In addition to her numerous awards, Dr. Sharan has been appointed as the Vice Chairperson of the IMA Women’s Wing East Zone. This appointment, made by IMA national president Dr. Sahajanand Prasad Singh at JIMACON 2022 in Ranchi, underscores her vital role in advancing women's health and awareness in the region.
